During my studies, I developped a special interest in ecoxicology, evolution, phenotypic plasticity and epigenetics. My master\u2019s thesis, supervised by Pr. Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Silvestre, was aiming to investigate the molecular mechanisms of acclimation to triclosan in the zebrafish, <i>Danio rerio<\/i>. My studies also enabled me to discover other universities, as I realised an exchange in Uppsala University (Sweden) during my bachelor and my master\u2019s internship in the lab of Pr. Dietmar K\u00fcltz (University of California Davis).<\/p>\n<p>My current research aims to understand how a stressor, such as an exposure to endocrine disruptors, can influence the development of genetically identical individuals and produce a plastic response. The focus will be on DNA methylation as a molecular mechanism enabling phenotypic plasticity. Our model species is the mangrove rivulus, <i>Kryptolebias marmoratus<\/i>. This is the only known vertebrate beeing hermaphrodite and capable of self-fertilization. This remarkable feature enables us to study the \u00ab\u00a0true\u00a0\u00bb phenotypic plasticity by excluding the genetic variability.
