Our new article has been written by our former post-doc researcher, Anthony Mathiron, and has been published in the excellent Environmental Toxicology and Pharmacology (IF 5.8). It looks at the use of the photomotor response test (PMR) in animals in the context of ecotoxicology.
The PMR test can be used to observe the effects of toxic products on the locomotor response of individuals under light stress.
After reviewing the scientific literature, we noted a major lack of standardization between studies concerning different stages of this test, from its implementation to data analysis.
We have therefore proposed 5 standardization methods to enable a better comparison of scientific results.
The article was written in collaboration with Dr Caroline Vignet from Albi, whom we met at the EcoBIM conference in Namur in May 2022.
