UNamur × UC Davis — Cooperation & Mobility

Since 2022, the University of Namur (UNamur) and the University of California, Davis (UC Davis) have a formal cooperation agreement. This is complemented by Erasmus+ International Mobility funding that enables faculty and graduate students to spend several weeks or months at the partner university. The program focuses mainly on biological sciences and was developed by Frédéric Silvestre (UNamur) and Richard Connon (UC Davis).

Since 2008, the partnership has supported exchanges for 5 PIs and 10 graduate students, building deep transatlantic links and long-term scientific collaborations.

In September and October 2025, Frédéric Silvestre visited UC Davis, while Amelie Segarra visited UNamur to promote the program. The current phase runs until June 2026, and the next one will run until 2030.
