Frédéric Silvestre spent two days in Bastia, Corsica, as the president of the jury for the evaluation of the PhD thesis of Ouafa El Idrissi, within a joint program from the Universities of Corse (Corte) and of Liège. This excellent thesis developped the sea urchin Paracentridus lividus as a bioindicator species to assess trace elements pollution in Corse coastal waters. It was mainly performed at the marine biological station of Stella Mare.
