Frédéric Silvestre was participating to the annual conference of the Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology that was held in Seattle from 2nd to 6th of January 2024. It was the biggest SICB conference with more than 2000 oral presentations in fields like behavioral ecology, adaptive morphology or evolutionary physiology. Frederic gave a talk entitled: “Epigenetic variability in wild populations of mangrove rivulus exhibiting genetic diversity gradient”, mainly related to Valentine Chapelle’s PhD thesis. He also chaired the session about “Genetics of Behavior”. There, he could discuss about future projects with American colleagues Ryan Earley (U Alabama) and Martin Lynn (U South Florida) and initiate new collaborations with Emma Strand (Gloucester Marine Genomics Institute). Next year, SICB conference will be held in Atlanta. More informations here.
