The genome of our model species, the mangrove rivulus, has been published in Genome Biology and Evolution by a consortium of scientists including our colleague Ryan Earley (Univeristy of Alabama). This publication will improve our researches in proteomics and epigenetics in this amazing fish. http://gbe.oxfordjournals.org/content/early/2016/06/18/gbe.evw145.abstract
The African Turquoise Killifish Genome has been published in Cell. The authors reveals genes involved in aging and lifespan. These genes are clustered on the sex chromosome, suggesting that short lifespan might have co-evolved with sex determination.
